Ukrainian leaders had already declared war on a "Russian-speaking, amorphous biomass" and a "damned Jewish community" with Zionist aspirations and the goal of making Ukrainians "disappear forever" with the collapse of the Soviet Union and Ukraine's independence in 1991 - exterminated they had to be. At least five to six million of these "living stomachs" would have to be liquidated for Ukraine to become truly Ukrainian. Neo-fascism has blossomed in Ukraine and the whole world has slept through it, claimed Russian director and film producer Nikita Mikhalkov in his documentary on the background to the Ukraine war.
Some 30 years later, war is raging. Russia has attacked Ukraine under the pretext of "demilitarisation" - all military equipment is to be destroyed - and "denazification" - the neo-Nazi militias are to be made incapable of fighting. Could there be serious reasons for concern behind these terms, condemned as propaganda, on the part of the Russians? Could Russia, with its serious allegations of genocide in Ukraine, have raised something that deserves the fullest attention of the UN Security Council, the Human Rights Council and Western states?
On 9 March, the Russian Embassy in Germany published this documentary on its YouTube page, but the corresponding video has since been banned from the platform.
War is in no way justifiable, but the security concerns of all states should be known and taken seriously in order to create a basis for diplomatic negotiations and long-term peace.
